Screencasting The Technical How-to for Video in the Classroom

Feedback form is now closed.
Screencasting is about much more than helping people learn to use a computer app or website. In this session, we will look at screencasting to get students planning, writing, and recording their narratives of learning. We will prepare presentations using Google Slides, fashion scripts using Google Docs, and create screencast videos using Screencastify. The videos will align with each participant's teaching content, whether by collecting images and drawing connections in history, explaining the steps of a problem in math, analyzing poetry in literature, describing the steps of experiments in science, or exploring vocabulary topics and structures in world languages. Participants will work with a process of planning, feedback, and revision with peers before finalizing submissions.
